本次展览梳理了艺术家张依楠近二年来的作品，分成四个系列和一个独立艺术项目《故事贩售机》进行展示，包括了早期《他们》纸本系列、《500人肖像计划》、《多维世界》，以及最新的金属 综合材料艺术作品《路人系列》。

2010年诞生了世界上第一代ipad那一刻，便产生了ipad艺术创作，它吸引了无数当代艺术家利用数字化进行创作,用ipad进行艺术创作已经不是新鲜事物。当2011年英国著名艺术家大卫·霍克尼开始使用iPad创作了一系列描绘英国东约克郡沃德盖特地区风景的画作的时候。而自2014年起中国年轻艺术家张依楠从也正坐在地铁上和工作室里开始用iPad为陌生人创作500人黑白肖像计划，至今已经完成了第1117张作品。
With the advent of the first generation of iPad in 2010, Ipad-based artistic creation has attracted numerous contemporary artists to digitalize their creation process. Using Ipad to do the artistic creation is no longer something new. David Hockney, a famous British artist who created a series of paintings depicting the landscape of Woldgate, East Yorkshire District in Uk with iPad as early as 2011, while Zhang Yinan, a young Chinese artist launched his 500 Persons’ Black-and-White Portrait Project for strangers since 2014, and the 1117th work has been completed as of today.

相对于别的新媒体艺术家创作和实验，张依楠关注的不是技术实验,而是被描绘对象人物的情感和故事,因为在他的500人肖像计划中，有他的朋友，有同学，有家人，但很多的描绘对象是在互相不认识的情况下发生，他的多媒体绘画创作是基于互联网社交而产生的一连串艺术创作；通过500人肖像计划，艺术家把自己与更多的人通过比以往任何时候都更“亲密”更“直观和更有趣”的方式链接起来；甚至可以说艺术家张依楠在制造一场“互联网艺术社交”。
As opposed to other new media artists’ creation and experiment, Zhang Yinan focuses on the emotions and stories of his subjects instead of technical experiment. As apart from his friends, classmates and family members, his 500 Persons’ Portrait Program includes many strangers as subjects, and his multimedia painting represents the result of artistic creation based on Internet social activities. The 500 Persons’ Portrait Project allows the artist to connect himself with more people in the most “intimate”, “intuitive” and “interesting” way. It’s even safe to say that the artist Zhang Yinan is creating an “Internet-based art social activity” and the entire exhibition project accomplished through crowd funding and sharing ways represent a complete and systematic public art event.

最后通过众筹方式与共享精神完成的整个展览项目更像一个完整系统化的公共艺术事件。在二年多的创作过程中，张依楠从早期的纸本人物到后期“多维世界”和“路人”系列,技艺越发成熟,线条极其简练,艺术家也由此对数字化绘画的笔触和线条的运用有了进一
步思考。
Thanks to the two years of artistic creation process, Zhang Yinan develops an increasingly sophisticated technique with simple lines from figures on paper in the early stage to “Multi-dimensional world” and “Passer-by” series in the later stage and deeper reflection on the brushwork and lines in digital painting.

艺术家张依楠用一种互联网式的绘画方式让社会上看似毫不相干的500人与其相遇，并产生了一种新的故事性绘画。而在他的500人肖像，我们能够看到，其所体现的绘画性已不再重要。重要的则是我们通过这样的叙述方式读到了每张不同肖像绘画背后的500种故事及500种人生。因为这个梳理与认知的过程，成就了今天张依楠对他自身绘画性的理解与对人生态度的转变。我认为，这500人在张依楠的人生里从陌生人到被绘画对象，间接的影响了张依楠对未来人生的思考。
Zhang Yinan encountered 500 seemingly unrelated persons in the society through Internet-based painting and created a new story-based painting style. His 500 persons’ portraits convey something far beyond the paintings themselves and allow us to “read” the 500 stories and 500 life styles behind each portrait through such narration. This process of extraction and awareness contributes to Zhang’s understanding for his own painting style and the change in attitude of life. I think the change in the roles of these 500 persons in Zhang’s life from simply strangers to subjects of his paintings indirectly influences his reflection on his life in the future.

500人的数量，与500种的不同人生经历，与张依楠对500种不同人生的理解，也构成了一种从作为年轻艺术家的视角看出的多维世界。这就是他生活的一部分，尤其他又把这样500人的不同生活经历放在了他的IPAD绘画中。而对于这样概念式的创作语言，也衍生出了我们通过众筹的方式去策划出此展览并呈现给所有的观者。
500 persons with 500 different life experiences and as a young artist, Zhang’s understanding for 500 different life styles constitute a multi-dimensional world from the perspective. This is part of his life and he incorporates different life experiences of 500 persons into his iPad paintings. We hereby plan this exhibition through crowd funding to present such conceptual artistic creation language to all visitors.
